A thrilled woman from Quorn is looking forward to relaxing in her retirement after winning a Keno Spot 8 prize of $50,000 in draw 2394734 on Sunday 29 July 2018.

This is the second Keno Spot 8 win to land in Port Augusta in just one week, after a Port Augusta woman took home a $50,000 prize in draw 2392728.

The happy winner explained she regularly picked up a Keno Spot 8 entry from newsXpress Westside, 21 Loudon Road, Port Augusta when she did her shopping.

“I’ve had a few smaller wins from newsXpress Westside so whenever I’m nearby I pop in and grab an entry,” she said.

“I bought the ticket on Sunday, but didn’t get a chance to check it until Tuesday.

“I went in and the team there were so happy I had won and so helpful!”

The winner revealed the Keno windfall had come at a perfect time for her.

“Well I’ve just retired you see so it has come at the best time!” she said.

“It will definitely help me out and I will be able to relax!”

newsXpress Westside owner Paul Donnellan said he was thrilled a local customer had won the prize.

“We are so pleased that a regular customer has won and there has been another win in the Port Augusta area.” he said.

“While it is the first Keno Spot 8 prize we’ve sold at our outlet, we were fortunate to have sold a division one prize in July this year which hopefully means we are on a bit of a winning streak for our customers.

“Let’s hope there are plenty more wins to come!”

This is the second Keno Spot 8 win to land in Port Augusta in just one week, after a Port Augusta woman took home a $50,000 prize in draw 2392728.

Last financial year, there were 27 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who landed more than $5.98 million.  Spot 10 was won twice during this time, remarkably both on the same day, 1 May 2017.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
