A hardworking Salisbury woman had a fabulous Friday night last week after winning the $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 2309324 on Friday 24 November 2017.

The over-the-moon winner explained that she wanted a bit of fun on a Friday night so went for dinner at the Stockade Tavern, where she purchased her ticket.

“On Friday, we thought ‘let’s go to the pub and have some fun’ and while we were there I put on a Keno,” the happy winner said.

“We were sitting there watching the screen and I saw that I had seven numbers and thought I had won a little prize – then one more number came out and I thought ‘Oh my gosh!’.”

When asked how the winning woman planned to spend her $50,000 Keno windfall, she confessed she knew exactly how to spend it.

“I’ve had some good fortune with Keno before, so we’ve put the money into the mortgage for now.”

The winning Spot 8 entry in Keno draw 2309324 was purchased at Stockade Tavern, 2 Gawler Street, Salisbury.

The winning entry was the second $50,000 Keno Spot 8 entry sold at Stockade Tavern this year, with the last winner taking home the prize in January.

Last financial year, there were 27 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who landed more than $5.98 million.  Spot 10 was won twice during this time, remarkably both on the same day, 1 May 2017.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
