A Gorokan retiree is struggling to believe she’s woken up a millionaire, explaining it will take quite some time for the news of her Lotto division one win to sink in.

The Central Coast resident held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4101, drawn Wednesday 4 August 2021 and takes home $1 million.

This morning, the winning woman ventured to her local newsagency to double-check her ticket.

“I’m shaking at the moment,” she laughed when her win was confirmed by an official from The Lott.

“Oh god. Thank you so much. “I can’t believe it.

“I don’t think it is real, it hasn’t sunk in. Are you sure this is real?

“My husband checked the ticket online this morning and I didn’t believe him when he told me we’d won division one. I’m going to have to go home and tell him he was right!”

With $1 million about to hit her bank account, the New South Wales player said she was looking forward to not having to worry about bills.

“It is going to make a big difference to us,” she said.

“We’ve both been retired for some time, and now we will be able to live very comfortably and really enjoy life!”

The life-changing entry was purchased at Lake Haven Centre Newsagency, Shop 31, Lake Haven Shopping Centre, Lake Haven Drive & Goobarabah Ave, Gorokan.

Lake Haven Centre Newsagency owner David Goodwin said he was celebrating his outlets’ second division one win in just a couple of weeks.

“I have three outlets in the community, so now we are now hoping for the trifecta!” he said.

“We’re ecstatic for our winner. With the way things are at the moment, we are so happy for her and it’s just great news for the community.

“Congratulations to her. It’s amazing to see this prize go to a local.”
