A woman from the Mackay region was left shaking this morning after discovering she became a millionaire a fortnight ago.

The unsuspecting winner was the only division one winner nationally in Monday Gold Lotto draw 3662, and while she was a registered player, Golden Casket officials had been unable to contact her.

The ecstatic woman only learnt of her win when she checked her online account this morning and discovered it’s balance had ballooned by $1 million.

“I was very shaky this morning when I noticed it there.  I thought it must have been a typo!” she exclaimed.

“I couldn’t believe it!  I just checked my account this morning ready to buy tonight’s lotto entry and it was in there.

“It’s a shock, but a very good shock.”

With news of her millionaire status still sinking in, the woman confessed she had yet to decide what she would do with her windfall.

“I have absolutely no idea,” she said.

“I haven’t even thought about it, but my husband’s very excited!

“It’s just a lovely surprise!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 12-game marked entry online via the Lott – Australia’s official lotteries.

During the past fortnight, there have been two division one winners in the Mackay region.  A Proserpine retiree won more than $2 million in last weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw with an entry purchased at Whitsunday Computers & Stationery, 70 Main Street Proserpine.

The six winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3662 on Monday 22 May 2017 were 38, 44, 6, 33, 17 and 20. The supplementary numbers were 24 and 16.

Across Australia, the entry from the Mackay region was the only division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3662.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 380 so far this financial year, including 95 won by Golden Casket customers.
