A Southern Sydney dad has declared his time in lockdown has suddenly been brightened by a million-dollar Lotto win and looks forward to spending his time working out how best to enjoy the prize.

The New South Wales player held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4103, drawn Wednesday 11 August 2021 and takes home $1 million.

Confirming his win with us this afternoon, the unsuspecting winner explained he’d just checked his entry online.

“Thank you very, very much,” he said.

“That’s marvellous news.

“I checked the ticket on the computer this morning and couldn’t believe it.

“My wife still doesn’t believe me. She thinks I am having a joke.

“This certainly brightens up lockdown for us. We will have plenty of time to plan what to do with our prize.”

When asked how he thought he might enjoy his prize, the retiree thought of his family first.

“Well, I will have to have a good think, but we will be able to help our children,” he shared.

“There’s quite a few family members we will be able to share with.

“It will be great!”

The life-changing entry was purchased at Heathcote Newsagency, 1347 Princes Highway, Heathcote.

Heathcote Newsagency owner Catherine Rogan said the win was great news for the local community.

“We are so excited for our winner. It is so well deserved,” she said.

“We are over-the-moon to see this amazing prize go to a local and regular customer.

“This is the second division one winning entry we’ve sold, and we certainly hope there’s plenty more to come for our customers!”
