A trio of Bray Park workmates have had a winning start to the weekend after discovering their private syndicate held the region’s division one winning entry from this week’s Wednesday Gold Lotto draw.

The happy tradies held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3813 on Wednesday 31 October 2018. The entry won the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

As their entry was not registered to a Winners Circle card, we had no way to contact them with the life-changing news.

Instead, this morning, one of the syndicate members heard on the local grapevine that there was an unclaimed million-dollar Wednesday Gold Lotto win in the region.

“I just found out about an hour ago,” the excited syndicate leader told us today while claiming the prize.

“I checked the ticket at work. Someone had heard Wednesday night’s prize was still unclaimed.

“First we had to find the ticket, which was in the glovebox of one of the trucks. So we were waiting for the truck to come back to get the ticket.

“It’s an awesome win!”

The workmates have already started thinking about how they’ll use their share of the million-dollar Wednesday Gold Lotto prize.

“Everyone has a home loan so it’s probably going onto that first,” he said.

“We’ll all have a bit of fun with it too I’m sure.”

The men, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their entry at Kensington Village Newsagency, Shop 2, Kensington Village Shopping Centre, 50 Kensington Way, Bray Park.

Kensington Village Newsagency owner Lynette Drew said her outlet had been abuzz with the news of the unclaimed division one win.

“We’ve had a lot of people coming in to check their tickets. Everyone wanted to see the winner collect their prize,” she said.

“It’s great news that it’s a private syndicate and they each get a share of the prize.

“We wish them all the very best. We can’t wait to do it again with another win.”
