A Wollongong couple is pinching themselves to make sure they’re not dreaming after this morning receiving a phone call with news they have won $1 million in Wednesday’s Lotto draw.

The shocked duo held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3863, drawn Wednesday 24 April 2019. Each winning entry took home a division one prize of $1,000,000.

The husband and wife had no idea of their millionaire status until our team called them this morning to break the life-changing news.

“No way, it can’t be,” the woman said.

“This isn’t a joke is it?

“Oh my god. Do you promise this isn’t a joke?

“Oh my god, I’m a millionaire? I’m crying!

“I’m so happy! Thank you so much!

“Oh Jesus! Oh shivers!”

In complete disbelief, the woman put her husband on the phone so he could learn the news.

“That’s something you don’t hear every day!” he said when the details of the win were repeated.

“I think I’m going to pass out!

“That’s the best news I’ve ever heard in my life!”

When the reality of their life-changing windfall started to sink in, the couple revealed to us they’d enjoy every moment of their win.

“I’ll keep working part-time. I won’t quit my job,” the woman declared.

“I’m going to help my family and after that I really don’t know!

“We can go travelling and there’s a few splurges I’ve always dreamt of, like a nice expensive handbag, and I would love to go on a shopping spree to celebrate.

“I’m so shocked! I can’t believe it! I need to pinch myself and see if I’m dreaming!”

The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning 12-game marked entry at NewsXpress Dapto, Shop G106, Dapto Mall, Princes Highway and Moombara Street, Dapto.

NewsXpress Dapto owner Dragi Gugucevski said his outlet had been on a winning streak.

“Only last month we sold a 1st Prize winning Lucky Lotteries Super jackpot entry,” he said.

“To sell a division one winning entry so soon is incredibly exciting!

“We couldn’t be happier for this local couple and we wish them all the best!”
