A Forest Lake woman admits she and her husband were shocked into silence after realising she was $30 million richer from Tuesday night’s Oz Lotto draw.

The Brisbane woman held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1481, drawn Tuesday 5 July 2022. She takes home an incredible $30 million.

The winning woman contacted us this morning and shared she felt like she was living in a dream.

“My husband came home and after hearing there’d been a winner in Brisbane said, ‘maybe we should check that Oz Lotto entry’,” she explained.

“I didn’t think I’d win anything significant though!

“At first, we thought I’d won $30,000. Then we double-checked the ticket and I remember thinking, ‘oh my goodness, we’ve won $30 million!’.

“It’s a dream. I was lying awake last night thinking about all the ways our lives are about to change.

“First thing on our list is buying our first home.

“Then we want to ensure we set ourselves and our families up for the future.

“We can’t even imagine what $30 million will look like!

“Even though we know it will change our lives forever, we’re adamant that we won’t let it change us as people.

“The rest of our lives are going to very different to what we had envisioned but we can’t wait to start this new journey.

“Thank you so much! I feel like I need to pinch myself again to make sure it’s real.”
