Forget milk and bread, an Altona Meadows granddad bagged a $3.3 million TattsLotto win yesterday when he checked his ticket from the weekend’s draw while grocery shopping.

The Victorian held one of the three division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4195 on 2 October 2021. Each division one winning entry scored $3,333,333.34.

“I didn’t expect this! I didn’t know anything about it,” the winning man exclaimed moments after his multi-million-dollar discovery.

“I just came to check my ticket while getting some groceries. The people who work here said to me I had a winning ticket.

“I thought, ‘come one, you’re joking’.

“This is a big surprise!

“I’ve been playing TattsLotto for so long. It’s a great pleasure to finally win.

“I’m going to treat my family. They’re very important to me. I’ll pay off my house and then give some to my children and grandchildren.”

The retiree’s winning entry was purchased at Central Lotto, Shop 14, Central Square Shopping Centre, 1 Central Avenue, Altona Meadows.

It’s the third division one winning entry Central Lotto has sold so far this year.

Central Lotto owner Bruce Zheng said he was thrilled to see another of his customers’ lottery dreams come true.

“This is another great milestone for us. We can't wait to see more of our customers get their life-changing winnings.

“It’s not just great for the winner, but also for us and the local community, especially during this tough time.

“We would love to send our best wishes and congratulations to our winner and their family. We hope this great winning helps them enjoy a wonderful life.”
