The excitement of discovering a life-changing $1.4 million TattsLotto win has left a Balwyn North man tossing and turning all last night.

The Melbourne man held one of the seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4237, drawn Saturday 26 February 2022. Each entry takes home $1,428,571.43.

The winning ticket was unregistered, so we had no way of contacting the tickeholder to break the news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

Speaking with our team, the Victorian player relayed how he came to discover his newfound fortune.

“Oh! It’s a miracle! It’s truly a dream come true,” he laughed.

“I decided to check my ticket right before I went to bed last night, and oh boy, that was a mistake! I couldn’t sleep at all. I was awake all night just thinking about the win and what it could do.

“Surprisingly, I even threw up a little from being so excited! I’d always wondered how people react to winning the lottery. Do they jump up and down? But I guess we all react differently.

“The most I’ve ever won is $10,000, which was amazing, but to win a million dollars is next level. It can do so much for my family.

“I’ve been playing TattsLotto for roughly eight or nine years, and I just can’t wrap my head around this!

“Thank you for such a wonderful phone call.”

When asked how he might enjoy his million-dollar win, the elated man said it would help his family purchase a new abode.

“This has come at such a perfect time because we’ve been wanting to purchase our very own home,” he said.

“We will definitely celebrate the win sometime soon as a family!”

His winning entry was purchased at Wandong Post, News & Tatts, Shop 3, 3272 Epping-Kilmore Road, Wandong.

Wandong Post, News & Tatts owner Bhavik Barot said he was over the moon to hear his latest division one winner had come forward to claim his prize.

“Our customers in the past few days have been asking if the winner has come forward, so we’re very pleased to hear that they have claimed their prize!” he said.

“We can just imagine this win will go a long way for the winner and their family, especially after dealing with the pandemic.

“On behalf of the team, we would like to wish a huge congratulations to the winner and wish them all the best with their prize!
