A Blackwall woman who’s been itching to travel around the world is now ready to board the next overseas flight after taking home a $600,000 division one win in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The Central Coast resident held one of the nine division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4247 on Saturday 2 April 2022 and takes home $606,096.94.

When we dialled the gleeful woman this morning, she initially thought she’d mistakenly binned her valuable entry.

“Oh my, I was so stressed! I thought I threw out this winning ticket,” she exclaimed.

“My heart is beating out of my chest. Someone is going to have to give me mouth to mouth!

“I’ve been playing for years and years. It’s been probably 30 years. This is so surreal.

“My husband is sitting right next to me, and we’re both in shock. We will have to celebrate with a nice bottle of champagne tonight. This calls for a celebration.

“We’re big travellers, and we’ve been wanting to travel for a while now, but obviously the pandemic has gotten in the way of things.

“I’d honestly pack my bags and fly to Fiji tomorrow if I could!

“We would also love to finish sight-seeing Australia, so maybe we could add it to the wish-list.

“Oh, thank you so much!”

Her winning 36-game QuickPick was purchased at Ettalong Beach Newsagency, 257 Ocean View Road, Ettalong Beach.

Ettalong Beach Newsagency owner Mark Yates said the team was excited to have sold a division one winning entry to a local customer.

“It’s always an exciting time when we sell a division one winning entry and even better when it’s sold to a local and regular customer who supports us,” she said.

“We wish her all the best with her newfound wealth and hope she enjoys her prize for years to come.”
