A Cabramatta man says he never imagined life as a millionaire until he picked up the phone this morning to news he’d taken home a division one prize in the weekend’s draw.

The New South Wales player held one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4093 on Saturday 10 October 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $1,292,740.18.

This morning we reached out to the winner to break the exciting news.

“Thank you,” he laughed.

“That’s amazing. Thank you!

“I had no idea at all. I hadn’t thought to check my ticket. I usually check them later in the week.

“I can’t believe it.

“I’ve been playing for a long time, but I never thought I’d be a millionaire. I am so happy!”

When asked how he intended to enjoy life as a millionaire, he said his retirement plans would suddenly be changing.

“I’m nearly at the point of retiring, but I’m definitely going to retire now,” he said.

“I’m not sure exactly what I’ll do with my prize, but I know it will be a great feeling to be able to help my children buy a house.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 18-game QuickPick at Mitchum Newsagency, Shop 2, 81-83 John Street, Cabramatta.

Mitchum Newsagency owner Anne Huang said it was the second division one winning entry the outlet had sold during the past three months.

“I was so excited to read our store had sold one of the division one winning entries in the first Saturday Lotto $5 million draw,” she said.

“Our customers are ecstatic! They are all congratulating us for selling another winning ticket. It has really lifted the spirits of the community.

“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was only in July in Monday Lotto. We certainly hope a third is on the way very soon.

“To our latest winner, enjoy your bright future, you deserve it!”
