A Campbelltown man in his 30s has had “the worst morning ever” turned around by the news he scored a $2 million division one prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The Sydney player held one of the ten division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw draw 4099 drawn Saturday 31 October 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $2 million.

When we broke the news to the winner this morning, he couldn’t contain his disbelief and immediately thought it was a hoax.

“Bullsh*t! Who is this? You’ve got to be kidding me! I’m serious, you had better not be messing with me,” he exclaimed.

“I’ve had the worst morning too and if I find out you’re messing with me, I’ll be so p*ssed.

“I wasn’t even going to answer your phone call, so this had better be real!”

The winner then confirmed the news himself by checking The Lott app and immediately burst into shouts of glee.

“No way! It is real! I’ve won two million dollars! Haha!” he exclaimed.

“Oh my f*&^ing god! I love you! Do you want to marry me?

“I can’t even believe you! Oh my god! This is the best news ever!

“I can’t believe it. It’s such good timing you have no idea. I’ve just had the busiest and worst morning. This has really turned it around!

“I can’t even think properly. Oh my god! It’s the best day ever! My heart is pumping!

“I play the same numbers every Saturday. They are favourite numbers I picked years ago using birthdays and anniversaries.

“I even checked the numbers and saw that a few of them were my favourite numbers, but I figured I’d just won $12 or something. “I had no idea I had won $2 million!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy life as a multi-millionaire, the delighted winner said the first thing he would do was clock off work.

“There is no way I am going to be able to concentrate today, so I’m going to go home from work,” he declared.

“I’ll be going on holiday as soon as the borders open.

“The rest will go into the bank, and I’ll have to think about how to spend it.”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning marked 12-game entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
