A retired Darwin pensioner is still reeling from the shock of this morning discovering he is now $410,000 richer from scoring division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The stunned winner held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4051, drawn Saturday 16 May 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $410,606.71.

We had been searching for the winner since the draw as while his entry was registered to a Tatts Card, his contact details were out of date.

Speaking with our team this morning to confirm the win, the retiree confessed he was bracing himself for the life-changing news.

“I’m at the outlet. I’m sitting down, and me and the staff here are waiting to hear what you’ve got to tell me. I’m ready for some good news!” he laughed.

“You’re joking! How amazing!

“It’s a beautiful day here in Darwin and now it’s been made even more beautiful by this news!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the thrilled winner confessed he was still bowled over by the news.

“I have no idea yet! I’m still in shock! I don’t think the news has sunk in yet!” he exclaimed.

“I’m a retired pensioner, so this win will certainly help support me in my retirement.”

The winning entry was purchased Leanyer Newsagency, Shop 18, Hibiscus Shoppingtown, Cnr Leanyer Drive and Vanderlin Drive, Leanyer.

Leanyer Newsagency team member Louise Reick said it was an exciting moment in her store when their latest winner discovered the news.

“We are so happy for our customer!” she exclaimed.

“It was amazing to be able to break the news to the winner and see his shocked but happy face.

“We are so thrilled we have found our mystery winner, and he has been united with this prize.

“We wish him all the very best!”
