A Cairns woman is planning a “dream holiday” to France after discovering she won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Far North Queensland resident held one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3965, drawn Saturday 20 July 2019. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $359,682.38.

Confirming her win with us this morning, the woman revealed how she discovered she’d won division one.

“I checked my ticket after the draw on Saturday night,” she explained.

“I couldn’t believe it! I was in a state of shock.

“I had to go to my family’s house the next day to get them to double check the ticket because it just didn’t feel real.

“Once they confirmed it, I went and bought a bottle of champagne and some food and we celebrated together.

“Now you’ve confirmed it, it feels even more real.

“It is amazing.

“I am feeling very emotional and very overwhelmed, but great at the same time.

“It’s going to be a massive help to me!”

The Queensland woman shared she’d spent the rest of the weekend planning how she’d enjoy her windfall.

“I want to help my family and get a new car,” she shared.

“There’s also a few things around the house that I have been wanting to do, so now I will be able to.

“Then I would love to go to France for a holiday, it’s been my dream for a while.”

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Nextra Clifton Beach, Shop 4, Clifton Village Shopping Centre, Captain Cook Highway, Clifton Beach. Nextra Clifton Beach owner David Faith said the outlet was celebrating selling a division one entry.

“It was such great news hearing about our division one win!” he said.

“We have been spreading the word that we’ve made one of our customers a division one winner.

“Customers have been thrilled about our win and hoping it was them but were very happy for our winner.”
