A generous Ferntree Gully grandmother has declared she plans to give her entire $1 million TattsLotto win from the weekend’s draw to her family.

The Melbourne resident held one of the five division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4263, drawn Saturday 28 May 2022. She takes home $1,114,916.27.

This morning, we reached out to the winning woman, who relayed how the excitement unfolded.

“Oh my god! I love you so much! I can’t believe this,” she cried happily.

“I’m in so much shock. Thank you very much! I’m bloody glad about this.

“I never register my ticket, so I didn’t find out until last night.

“I scanned my ticket so many times because it just seemed so shocking. I made my kids check it as well.

“I was crying and shaking so much. I’m still crying and shaking now! It was a euphoric moment.

“My kids went out and got me a bottle of Moet to celebrate.

“We’ve been through a really tough time over the years, so this means so much to us all.

“I can’t explain how life-changing this is – but it changes everything for us.

“This is just the best thing on the planet! Mate, it’s bloody out of this world.
“I want to use my prize to help my kids and my grandkids. I want to make sure they have absolutely everything they need in life.

“The kids said, ‘Mum, this prize is for you to spoil yourself!’. But it’s not, it’s for them. That’s what is important to me – making sure they’re all looked after.”

The Victorian purchased her entry at Upwey Newsagency, 18 Main Street, Upwey.

Upwey Newsagency owners Peter and Helen Raupach said they were over the moon for their winning customer.

“It was a fantastic surprise for us,” Peter said.

“It’s been a while since we’ve had a division one win, so we were very excited. We’re hoping this is the start of a major prize-winning streak.

“We’re delighted for our winner and would love to send her our congratulations. We hope it changes her life for the better.”

“Wins like this generate so much positivity,” Helen added.

“We’ve been sharing the news with all our customers and they’re so happy for the winner. They’re hoping they’re next to win division one!”
