Winning division one would be as good an excuse as any to take the day off work, but not for a Hoppers Crossing man who got straight back to it immediately after discovering his $620,000 TattsLotto windfall.

The hardworking Melburnian held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4085, drawn Saturday 12 September 2020. Each division one winning entry took home a prize of $621,499.92.

When we confirmed the news this morning, the delighted winner couldn’t help but shout with glee.

“You’re a legend! Thank you! It feels sensational!” he exclaimed.

“I had no idea! I hadn’t checked my ticket, so I had no idea I had won.

“I nearly didn’t answer your call because I didn’t recognise the number. I’m glad I did!

“I play every week but not always the same type of ticket.

“It just depends on how my week has been at work and my mood. Sometimes if I’m in the mood, I mark my numbers, sometimes I grab a QuickPick.

“I must have been in a good mood this week when I grabbed the QuickPick because that’s the one that won!

“I’m at work at the moment so can’t do much to celebrate. I won’t take the rest of the day off though, I’ll keep working.

“I don’t think I’ll retire yet either. I’ve always run my own business, so working hard doesn’t bother me!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the stoked bloke confessed he wasn’t looking to do anything ‘too fancy’.

“I’m not that fancy. I don’t want anything too big!” he laughed.

“I might buy myself a house and give some to the kids. They’ll be happy, so that will make me happy.

“I’m lucky to have experienced quite a lot of things in my life, but nothing as good as this. It’s a sensational experience!”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 24-game Quickpick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
