A Traralgon man is still grappling with the revelation he scored more than $685,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw after checking his ticket late yesterday.

The Victorian held one of the eight division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4339, drawn Saturday 18 February 2023. Each division one winning entry won $685,236.47.

“Goodness me!” he exclaimed when the enormity of his prize was revealed by us.

“I’m just blown away.

“I saw the newsagent had a sign in the shop saying they had sold a division one prize from Saturday. I’ve played TattsLotto for a long time but I never for a moment thought it would be me.

“I probably haven’t got too excited just yet. It takes a while for something like this to sink in.

“I’m still stunned at the moment. I’m just sitting here thinking, ‘oh my god! What the hell?’.

“This is brilliant.

“I can still work and I want to work, so I won’t be retiring just yet. It’s just nice to think that retirement will be a lot easier when it eventually happens.

“My family will also benefit… they just don’t know it yet.”

His winning entry was purchased at Traralgon Newsagency and Lotto, 51-53 Franklin Street, Traralgon.

Traralgon News and Lotto manager Corey Davenport said the latest big win marked a milestone for the outlet.

“We were absolutely thrilled when we first found out we’d sold another division one winning ticket. We believe this is the store’s 50th major winner,” he said.

“It’s great the winner has discovered their prize and we pass on our congratulations and best wishes to them.

“We’d also like to thank all our loyal customers who have supported us over many years.”
