A Tarneit man has had his morning commute interrupted today when we phoned to crown him a division one winner from the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Melbourne local held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3931, drawn Saturday 23 March 2018. Each winner takes home a division one prize of $958,001.14.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the thrilled man also won division four 4 times, bolstering his total prize to $958,145.34.

When we spoke to the winner this morning to confirm his win, the surprised commuter revealed he had been marking his entry with the same numbers for decades.

“Right-o! That’s great news!” he declared upon hearing the news.

“I’ve been playing these numbers every week! I have been playing them for years.

“I’m so glad they finally came up.

“They are just random numbers that I chose long ago. Couldn’t tell you why!”

However, how the happy man plans to spend his windfall is yet to be determined as he confessed he was going to have to ‘sit down and think about it’.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 12-game marked entry at Tarneit Gardens Lotto, Kiosk 2, Tarneit Woolworths, 747 Tarneit Road, Tarneit.

Tarneit Gardens Lotto team member Caroline Dingey said she was thrilled to have discovered the exciting news when she arrived to work this morning.

“It’s amazing news! It was great to come into work on Monday morning and hear that wonderful news!” she exclaimed.

“I’ve been telling everyone we’ve sold a division one winning entry and it’s been busy in store this morning.

“We sold a winning syndicate share in TattsLotto and a Powerball division one winning entry in the past, but it’s been a few years since we’ve had a win.

“It’s great! We hope the wins continue for our customers.”
