Forget “sale flights and bargain hotels”, a Malvern woman is planning to book a no-expenses-spared holiday of a lifetime after today discovering she won division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Melbourne winner held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4027, drawn Saturday 22 February 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $642,608.33.

Confirming the life-changing news with our team this afternoon, the overwhelmed woman revealed she’d just checked her ticket and discovered she was now more than $640,000 richer.

“I’m in a bit of shock to be honest,” she cried happily.

“Thank you so much.

“I’ve been crying ever since they told me. I just came in to check my tickets. I never thought I would have won a prize like this.

“I think I will certainly need to celebrate when the news has sunk in.

“I’ve really struggled all of my life, so this is life-changing for me.

“I can’t begin to explain what this means for me.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, the emotional woman thought of her family first.

“I am going to use the prize to help my family, that’s at the top of my list,” she explained.

“I will be doing a lot of travel too. I want to go on both international holidays and trips around Australia.

“I’ve always loved to travel but it’s always been on a very tight budget.

“This will mean I can stop shopping for the sale flights and bargain hotels, and opt for something a little fancier! Which will be something I’ve never been able to do.”

The winning entry was purchased at Malvern Lotto, 167 Glenferrie Road, Malvern.

Malvern Lotto owner Sunny Ding said he was thrilled the winner had come forward and claimed her prize.

“Isn’t it fantastic news?” he said.

“We are so happy for our winner and we wish her all the very best with her prize.

“We can’t wait to have some more major prize winners! It’s an amazing feeling being able to help change someone’s life.”
