A man from the north-western suburbs of Melbourne has confessed to having a sleepless night after discovering he scored nearly $400,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw

The happy winner held one of the ten division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3989, drawn Saturday 12 October 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize worth $382,311.53.

Sharing his excitement with us, the Melbourne man recounted the moment he discovered the life-changing win.

“I’d already gone to bed for the night on Saturday night, but I got up to grab a glass of water and that’s when I checked my ticket,” he explained.

“I couldn’t believe it so I woke my wife up and I can’t tell you how many times we checked it to make sure it was real.

“We kept checking it and checking it but when we kept getting the same result it finally sunk in that we were winners.

“I didn’t get much sleep for the rest of the night, or the rest of the weekend.

“Our ticket was unregistered, so it was a bit disconcerting walking around with a ticket worth that much.

“I was relieved when I could claim it today and have the news confirmed that we really are division one winners!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his TattsLotto windfall, the thrilled man thought of his beloved family first.

“We’ll certainly help set the kids up for the future by being able to get them a new car and some money towards a house deposit,” he said.

“It will also be a relief to be debt free. We haven’t really thought too much about where we will go just yet, but we’ll look into going on a holiday.”

The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 18-game QuickPick entry at Lotto Luck Watergardens, Kiosk K3A, Watergardens Shopping Centre, 399 Melton Highway, Taylors Lakes.
