A sleepless South Brisbane retiree says her mind is still spinning after discovering she’s the state’s newest millionaire from winning division one in Saturday Gold Lotto.

The Eight Mile Plains player held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3993 on Saturday 28 October 2019, with each entry taking home a division one prize of $1,007,593.45.

Confirming her win with us this morning, the woman revealed she’d been up all night in shock.

“I checked my ticket last night and almost fell over,” she laughed.

“Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

“You have no idea how much this means to me.

“I had to get a friend to come over last night and verify that I wasn’t seeing things.

“I hardly slept at all last night. My mind was going round and round in circles just thinking about what I could do with my prize.

“I don’t know what to do or what to say except thank you.

“I’m truly in shock. I can’t believe my luck!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her million-dollar prize, the generous mum thought of her family first.

“Helping my children out will be the very first thing I do,” she explained.

“But I really just need to think about what I’ll do with the rest.

“There are so many things going through my mind at the moment but I will probably buy myself a new car.

“That’s as far as I can think!”

The happy woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
