A Strathmore man is thanking a spur-of-the-moment decision to purchase an entry into Saturday’s TattsLotto draw for yielding him a $594,000 win.

The happy winner held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3983, drawn Saturday 23 September 2019. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $594,970.80.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the winner’s 24-game QuickPick entry also scored division five, bolstering his total prize to $594,997.00.

Sharing his joy with us yesterday afternoon, the thrilled man revealed he initially didn’t intend to purchase an entry into the draw.

“I only buy TattsLotto entries every now and then,” he explained.

“I wasn’t planning on buying an entry into the draw, but when I checked my Powerball ticket and saw that I had won $10, I decided to play.

“I never expected to win this much!

“I’m so happy that I got to share this win with seven other winners. It means the joy has been spread a bit further.

“I can’t wait to celebrate with some champagne and chocolate!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the humble man said he would put it towards some renovations.

“I think I’ll pay a few bills, maybe buy myself a new car and then do some work around the house,” he said.

The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 24-game QuickPick entry at The Lucky Charm Airport West #2, Shop 142 Westfield Airport West, 29-35 Louis Street, Airport West.

The Lucky Charm Airport West #2 owner Nicole Knothe said she was excited for her winning customer.

“This is the second division one winning entry we’ve sold so far this year!” she exclaimed.

“It makes the fourth division one win we’ve sold across both The Lucky Charm Airport West stores this year.

“We’re on a lucky streak!

“We’ve decorated the store and have been telling all of our customers we’ve sold another division one winning entry.

“The whole place is buzzing! The team are keen to find out who sold the winning ticket so they get bragging rights.

“Congratulations to our lucky winner! The store’s emblem of a golden horseshoe is proving to be lucky once again!”
