A hardworking Keilor East tradie is looking forward to saying goodbye to overtime after scoring a division one prize worth more than $642,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The north-west Melbourne local held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4027, drawn Saturday 22 February 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $642,608.33.

Sharing his excitement with us this morning, the overjoyed winner revealed he started playing TattsLotto regularly after a workmate scored a division one prize last year.

“You’re joking? Oh my god! That’s unbelieveable!” he exclaimed.

“I don’t know what to say. I can’t even talk. I had no idea I’d won.

“I’ve only started playing regularly recently.

“I used to play every now and then but late last year a friend of mine from work won and I thought I’d better give it a go.

“I’d always thought I’d win something one day! I just had a feeling.

“I can’t wait to tell my wife!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the hardworking man confessed he was looking forward to cutting back his hours at work and giving up overtime completely.

“This win means I won’t have to work as hard,” he declared.

“I’ll be able to pay off my mortgage and it will just really take the pressure off.

“I work in construction and it’s hard work. I often take on extra jobs and overtime when I can.

“Now I won’t have to do that. I’ll be giving those extra jobs up completely.

“It will be such a good feeling to be debt free!”

Despite the win, the happy bloke revealed he still planned on heading into work today.

“I’ve got a job to do today but thankfully it’s close by,” he said.

“They’ll probably wonder what is wrong with me, I’ll be smiling so much.

“Once it’s done I’ll head home to celebrate with a few drinks!”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 18-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
