An Ulverstone woman may have popped to the shops to get some sugar for her cooking, but returned home with a sweet $633,000 TattsLotto win.

The Tasmanian held one of the nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4235, drawn Saturday 19 February 2022. Each scored a division one prize of $633,095.20.

She was one of two Tasmanians who scored a division one prize in the weekend’s draw.  The winning duo are the first Tasmanians to win division one in 2022.

Although the entry is registered, we had been unable to reach out to the winner on the contact details provided.

However, this morning a quick trip to the shops delivered her a division one surprise.

“I’m shaking and crying!” the winning woman exclaimed!

“I just came down to get some sugar as I’ve been doing some cooking, but thought I’d check my TattsLotto ticket while I was here.

“Oh, for goodness sakes!  I’ve been out and about oblivious that I’d won all this money.

“I’m just over the moon.

“I started shaking straight away, but I never dreamed for a minute I’d win this big.

“I’ve been playing TattsLotto for years and have never given up.

“I’m just so pleased this prize has come to our beautiful little town.

“I’m going to get myself a house and I’ll be comfortable for the rest of my life.

“You’ve made my day!”

The winning entry was purchased at Ulverstone Lucky Lotto, 28 Reiby Street, Ulverstone.

Ulverstone Lucky Lotto owner Peter Rees said he was thrilled for his latest big winner.

“I was so surprised when I saw the win. It’s such a thrill to have sold a division one winning ticket,” he explained.

“We’ll be celebrating this win with all our customers. No doubt they’re all wondering who the winner is and hoping they’re next.
