A Werribee retiree has declared he has a new lease on life and can’t wait to travel around the country with his $2.1 million TattsLotto prize from the weekend’s draw.

But while he said he was up for almost “anything and everything”, the adventurous Victorian ruled out sky diving and bungy jumping.

The Melburnian held one of the 14 division one winning entries across the country in TattsLotto draw 4281, drawn Saturday 30 July 2022. Each division one winning entry pocketed $2,142,857.15.

“I’m going to start scrubbing things off my bucket list,” the happy winner exclaimed when speaking to us.

“I couldn’t sleep last night. I thought it might all be just a dream.

“I kept getting up and logging onto the computer. I checked my ticket about 20 times.

“I’m going to do everything! I want to go on The Ghan. I want to travel around Australia. But you won’t see me skydiving or bungy jumping. Everything else is fine.

“I usually win little prizes each month, but I hadn’t won a damn thing this month. I was thinking of changing my numbers. I thought they might be getting stale. But I didn't change them. Isn’t it lucky I didn’t change them!

“When I checked my ticket last night, I started to see the numbers all on one line. I could see I had three numbers. Then, oh my god, four numbers. Then, the realisation I had all six numbers.

“It’s amazing.

“I’ve rehearsed in my mind many times what I’d do if I won TattsLotto. But nothing compares to the rehearsal. It’s a wonderful thing.”

His winning marked 18-game entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
