Penrith woman wakes up on cloud nine with Set for Life win

Talk about the ultimate wake-up call! A Penrith mum was still in bed when we phoned to break the news she’d scored the division one prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years in Set for Life.

“Oh my god! Oh my god! Is this a dream?! I’ve just woken up and I’m still lying in bed!” she exclaimed.

“I have COVID right now, so I’m not feeling the greatest. This has really boosted my mood. Wow, I can’t believe it.

“I’ve always told my family, ‘If I ever win division one in Set for Life, I’ll frame the winning ticket on the wall!’. I guess I’ll do that now!”

Darwin man clocks off work and discovers time-stopping $4.8 million Set for Life windfall

Set for Life wasn’t finished making dreams come true just yet. In the very next draw, lightning struck again, this time in Darwin where one hard-working man became the 13th Set for Life division one winner so far this year.

“That’s fantastic! I missed your calls this morning because I was just finishing my shift,” he cheered.

“I’ve gotta tell you that the timing is brilliant!  We’ve just finished some things on our house, and I know this prize will come in handy. There’s lots to do around there!

“There’s some significance around numbers. It was game 13 – you know what they say! Unlucky for some. This is certainly going to change our lives.”

More life-changing news was on the way for a crowd of Aussies who scored a division one Saturday Lotto prize. The wins landed right across the country with five in Victoria and one each in Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, South Australia, and Western Australia.

Each winning entry scored a division one prize of $537,806.77.

A young Moreton Bay man was smiling from ear to ear when he discovered his Lotto windfall.

“I can tell you it turned my Saturday night upside down when I realised I’d won division one!” he said.

“It’s going to be life-changing. I’m a young man and I’ve got the rest of my life ahead of me, so I’m going to make the most of this.

“You never expect these things to happen to you. Now that it has, I’m wondering when it will sink in!”

Even after all the Lotto and Set for Life wins, we had plenty more exciting news to feast on. A Port Stephens woman had her lunch happily interrupted by the revelation she’d won a delicious first prize in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

“I was enjoying some roast pork and vegetables for lunch but now I feel I’ve got butterflies in my stomach!” she laughed.

“You’re going to make me get emotional! This really is amazing!

“It’s not how you expect to start the week, but it’s definitely made my day.”
