Brighton mum in ‘zombie’ start after $100,000 Instant Scratch-its win
A Brighton mum has admitted she couldn’t stop screaming ‘f***’ after discovering she won $100,000 on a $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
Speaking with us today when claiming her prize, the elated woman shared how the discovery of her instant win left her in a ‘zombie’ state.
“I was at home yesterday and had a few scratchies sitting on the bench that I got for Christmas and thought I would scratch them all at one,” she explained.
“This was the last one I scratched. I actually thought to myself as I was scratching it, ‘wouldn’t it be funny if I won $100,000 on this last ticket?’ And bloody hell I did!
“I couldn’t believe it! I kept flipping the ticket over and reading the back to double check. Then I just started screaming ‘f***, f***, f***, f***!’ over and over.
“It was definitely a swear worthy moment! It was just so bizarre!
“I was walking around the house like a zombie for a good three hours!
“God, then last night I could not sleep. I woke up so many times thinking ‘Is this even real?!’. I was so scared it was a dream.”
The happy woman explained she wanted to share her instant windfall with her family.
“It will be such a help to all of us,” she shared.
“I am definitely going to celebrate this weekend! Pop a bottle of bubbles when my family is all home.
“Honestly, this is the best day ever. I never thought I would win. It’s just not something that you think is actually possible, but clearly it is!
“What a way to start 2019!”
