She may not be able to travel far at the moment, but that isn’t stopping a Clayton grandmother from planning a future overseas getaway with the $10,000 top prize she won on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket. 

The winning $1 Cash O’Lantern Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Clayton News & Lotto, 345 Clayton Road, Clayton. 

Speaking with us this morning, the Melbourne woman was still giggling with excitement over her good fortune. 

“I’m very happy!” she laughed. 

“Wow! I must be really lucky. What are the chances of being the one to win the top prize out of all the people who get Scratchies! 

“I only buy them once a month, and with this one, I scratched it right there and then at the newsagency. I couldn’t believe it! I’m a pensioner, so this really means a lot to me. 

“I’m thinking of an overseas holiday for when we can. This is enough for me to take a trip of a lifetime!” 

Clayton News & Lotto team member Vicky Kritikos said it was exciting to see a big win in her outlet.
