A Morayfield couple is celebrating winning $250,000 after the intuitive woman dreamt they’d win a top prize on a $10 Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

When we spoke to the couple today, the happy woman explained how a premonition lead them to purchasing the winning ticket.

“I had a dream two days before our win. In my dream we won the top prize on a $10 Instant Scratch-Its ticket,” the winning wife explained.

“So my hubby went out and bought a few $10 tickets and the last ticket he scratched was the one that won us $250,000.

“When I saw that we won $250,000, I was just like ‘yeah, that’s nice, I’ll go mow the lawn now’. Because my wife had the dream a few nights before, I kind of expected the win.” the happy man continued.

“It just felt as though it was meant to be. Who knows, we believe good things come in threes, so we might be back here on Wednesday after winning Oz Lotto!”

The winning couple told us that while they did mow the lawn straight after their winning discovery, they went out to celebrate later that night.

“After we mowed the lawn we thought we better celebrate,” the Morayfield woman said.

“So we went out for a lovely dinner and just enjoyed the fact that soon we’d see a few more zeros in our bank account.

”The Queensland couple said they had already begun planning what they would do with their prize.

“We want to go to Hong Kong and New Zealand sometime this year,” the husband shared.

“We will also do some renovations on the house and then keep the rest for a rainy day.”

The top prize winning $10 Hit It Big ticket was purchased at TSG Burpengary News, Shop 22 Burpengary Plaza, 177-183 Station Road, Burpengary.

TSG Burpengary News staff member Megan Thomas said she was thrilled one of their customers had won a top prize.

“It’s very exciting! This is great news!” she said.

“I am so happy for the couple and hope they enjoy their prize.

“We have sold quite a few top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its tickets in the past. It’s been a great year for us so far with delivering wins to our customers.

“We definitely consider this a lucky store and hope to sell more winning tickets to our customers.”
