With his current car on its last legs, a Palm Beach man is happily shopping for a new set of wheels using one of the top prizes of $50,000 he won on a $4 Instant Scratch-Its.

The delighted man bought his winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket at The Pines Lotto, Kiosk 1, The Pines Elanora Shopping Centre, Cnr Guineas Creek Road and KP McGrath Drive, Elanora.

“Can you believe I got this winning ticket using a ‘Free Ticket’ prize I won on another Instant Scratch-Its?” the man exclaimed when we spoke with him this morning to claim his prize.

“I started scratching the ticket right then and there, and right down the bottom matched all the numbers in a line.

“It’s fantastic. And to win on a free ticket – even better!

“It’s not a bad result for a shopping trip I can tell you.”

The Instant Scratch-Its aficionado revealed he already had plans for his $50,000 instant windfall.

“It couldn’t come at a better time. My car has pretty much had it so I’ve already started car shopping,” he explained.

“I look forward to seeing my bank account when the prize is paid and I can pay for my new car in cash.”

The Pines Lotto owner Anuj Verma said it was an auspicious win for his new outlet, which only opened its doors less than three months ago.

“It’s amazing news. What a great start for a new store,” he said.
