Salisbury woman wins $50,000 in Keno!
A woman from Adelaide’s northern suburb of Salisbury was too excited to sleep after she won a Keno Spot 8 prize of $50,000 at her local Tavern on Sunday night!
The happy woman in her 40s said she plays Keno for a bit of fun every once in a while but couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her numbers come up on the Keno screen.
“I feel very lucky! I was sitting there watching the Keno screen and checking my numbers when I realised they’d all appeared!” she exclaimed.
“Everyone at the Tavern was so happy for me! But I didn’t stick around, I headed straight home. Problem was, I couldn’t sleep that night – I was so excited!
“I play Keno for a bit of fun every once in a while but I never expected I’d win $50,000!
“I’ve decided to put my prize money into my bank account and leave it there for a while. I don’t want to rush to spend it all right away.”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the winning Spot 8 Keno entry from Stockade Tavern, 2 Gawler Street in Salisbury.
Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
