A Lake Haven grandfather was bowled over when he discovered his entry in Monday’s Lotto Strike draw scored a first division prize worth more than $200,000!

The winner admitted he was oblivious that he’d won a division one prize of $200,441.25 until he checked his entry today.

“I was pretty emotional when I checked my ticket and found out I had the winning numbers,” the winner admitted.

“I rang my wife straight away to tell her the good news and all she could say to me was, ‘What!’. “

I’m so happy! This windfall will really take the pressure off and I’ll be able to put the prize money towards our new home!”

The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

The winning Lotto Strike entry was purchased from Lake Haven Centre Newsagency, Shop 31, Lake Haven Shopping Centre in Gorokan.

David Goodwin is the owner of Lake Haven Centre Newsagency and was overjoyed to know that another one of his customers is celebrating winning division one.

“We sold a first division winning entry a few years back so we were long overdue for this win,” Mr Goodwin said.

“Now that we’ve sold a first division winning ticket in Lotto Strike, we could be on a roll! Who knows our next first division win could be in tonight’s $25 million Powerball draw or this weekend’s $20 Million Valentine’s Superdraw!”

Lotto Strike is an add-on game that is played with Monday, Wednesday and Saturday Lotto and can be played for as little as $1.10.

Lotto Strike’s division one prize is won by selecting the first four Lotto numbers in drawn order. The division one prize jackpots to the following Lotto draw if there are no division one winners.

The winning numbers in Lotto Strike draw 4144 on Monday 8 February 2016 were 33, 11, 13 and 31.

More chances to win!

There are more chances to win big this week; Powerball has jackpotted to a giant $25 million for tonight’s draw. And the countdown has begun to this weekend’s Saturday Lotto $20 Million Valentine’s Superdraw. How would you spoil your Valentine if you won a share in $20 million?
