A Central Coast man has confessed he is still reeling from the shock of discovering he scored the $200,000 1st Prize in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw while routinely checking his tickets moments after the draw.

The New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1485, drawn Monday 18 May 2020.

Confirming the news with us this afternoon, the happy man explained how he discovered his win just after the draw had been conducted.

“I regularly buy tickets into Lucky Lotteries, but only ever check them when I put the next ones on,” he explained.

“I had no idea the draw was today or that it had just occurred so I had no idea I could be a winner when I checked my ticket.

“It was magic! Fantastic! The best news ever I’d say!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the thrilled man revealed he was still too overwhelmed by the news to make any firm plans.

“I have no idea! I’m still in shock! I haven’t even gone home yet,” he said.

“I’m over the moon by the news but I just can’t think of what I’ll do with it.

“I might wait until the dust has settled and everything has calmed down and then plan an overseas holiday when I can travel.”

The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Budgewoi Newsagency, 77 Scenic Drive, Budgewoi.

Budgewoi Newsagency owner Jan Hewes said she was so excited to be able to break the winning news to her customer.

“We had just found out we had sold a 1st Prize winning entry when our winner walked through the door!” she exclaimed.

“I knew he was a regular player of Lucky Lotteries so I had a feeling it might be him and told him to check his tickets right away.

“It was so exciting when he scanned it and it said he was a winner! We are thrilled.

“It’s so good when a win goes to a regular customer who is loyal to our store.

“This is the second major prize we’ve sold. The last was a division one prize in 2017 so it’s really nice to have another win!

“We are so excited for our winner and for the store! We wish him all the best!”
