A Paddington pensioner admitted he was too mind-boggled from discovering his $102,000 win in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot that he temporarily misplaced his wallet.

The Sydney player won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10477, drawn Monday 12 July 2021.

As well as winning the 1st Prize, the winner also won a consolation prize of $2,000, boosting their total windfall to $102,000.

The ticket was unregistered, so we had no way of contacting the winner to break the news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

Yesterday afternoon, the cheerful bloke entered his local outlet to check his ticket and left $102,000 richer.

“I’m dumbfounded!” he laughed.

“I went into my local outlet to check the ticket at the self-scanner, and it told me to go to the counter.

“Initially, I thought I had only won $5,000. Later, it came to my surprise that I had actually won $102,000! All I could say is ‘Jesus!’.

“I was in such a mess from discovering my win that I left my wallet at the counter. Thankfully, a generous man came up to me with my wallet.

“Good on ya! Thank you.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the jubilant winner said he wanted to be sensible.

“I’m going to hang on and invest the prize for the future,” he revealed.

“I will celebrate the win at my local pub once the restrictions are lifted, that’s for sure.”

The winning entry was purchased at Bondi Junction Newsagency & InternetCafe, Shop 2, 191 – 195 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction.

Bondi Junction Newsagency & InternetCafe owner Manish Sharma said he couldn’t be happier for the winner.

“That’s fantastic news for our winner,” he acknowledged.

“We couldn’t be happier for him, even better that he’s a regular customer!

“We were eagerly waiting for our mystery winner to come forward, so it’s great to hear he’s now discovered the news.

“It’s a challenging time for everyone right now, so I can imagine the win has come at a nice time.

“A big congratulations to our winner, and we hope you can spoil yourself.”
