Retirement plans are suddenly looking a whole lot better for a Ballarat woman who just discovered she’ll be resigning from work for good as a millionaire.

The Victorian player held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3953, drawn Wednesday 4 March 2020. They each take home a division one prize of $1 million.

Confirming her life-changing prize with us this morning, the overwhelmed woman said she was still coming to terms with her weekend discovery.

“Thank you so much,” she laughed.

“I think I’m still in shock!

“I went down to the newsagency on Saturday morning to check my lottery tickets, just like I always do.

“I went into shock when they told me I’d won division one!

“I’ve always been planning to retire at the end of the year so this just gets rid of all my retirement worries. It’s incredible. This has completely changed my life!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her million-dollar prize, the woman said there’d be no nicer feeling than being debt free.

“This gives me so much freedom,” she declared.

“It was going to be a very tight retirement but it won’t be now. I’ll be able to do so much more than I thought I could!

“Of course there will be plenty of holidays and I’ll be able to help some people out as well.

“The best feeling will be being debt free and paying off my mortgage!

“I can’t wait to see the money in my bank account!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 12-game QuickPick entry at Creswick Lotto, 65 Albert Street, Creswick. Creswick Lotto owner Robert Bridges said he was happy to see his latest division one winner united with their prize.

“It wonderful and exciting. I’m so pleased for our winner,” he said.

“We’ve been letting everybody know we’ve had a win and we hope it’s a local player.

“The last time we sold a division one winning entry was about five years ago and we’ve had three division one wins in total during the past 26 years. This prize is the biggest we’ve had so far.

“Our sincerest congratulations to our winner. We hope it changes her life for the better.”
