A Crows Nest grandmother is looking forward to spending the rest of the week planning what to do with her million-dollar lottery prize.

The North Shore resident held one of the three division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4097, drawn Wednesday 21 July 2021 — pocketing a division one prize of $1 million.

When we reached out to the Sydney player this morning, she had no idea she was about to become a millionaire.

“Are you kidding me?” she began to question.

“Are you sure?

“Wow. Wow. I am feeling very stunned at the moment.

“I honestly don’t know what to say. I think I could be in shock.

“My husband and I have been playing for ages and ages. I can’t believe this day has finally arrived! “It is truly amazing.”

When asked what she planned to do with her lottery fortune, the woman said she’d need to take some time to digest the news.

“I have no idea at the moment!” she laughed.

“No idea at all!

“We’re both retired so I am sure we will find plenty of ways to enjoy it once this lockdown lifts.

“We have a big family, so we will be able to help our children and grandchild.”

The life-changing entry was purchased at newsXpress Crows Nest, Shop 69 Lake Macquarie Fair, 46 Wilsons Road, Mount Hutton.

newsXpress Crows Nest owner Louise Geng said the win was welcomed news for the community during a tough time.

“I’m so glad we’ve done it again!” she said.

“I’m so happy that we’ve sold another division one winning entry and we’re so pleased for our customer.

“This is just what we all need during a very stressful time, some happy news!

“We hope the winner can enjoy their prize once this lockdown lifts.”
