A Conder woman explained she had an overwhelming feeling this morning to check her Monday Lotto ticket, which led to a million-dollar discovery.

The ACT player held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3928, drawn Monday 9 December 2019 and takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

Confirming her win with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the woman revealed she’d heard on the news that there was a mystery winner in the region.

“I’m still shaking,” she laughed.

“I’ve been shaking since I checked my ticket early this morning!

“I was driving to work and I heard on the radio that my local newsagency had sold a winning ticket and it still hadn’t been claimed.

“I immediately had an overwhelming feeling that it could be me! I started shaking and then checked my ticket and discovered I was the winner you were looking for!

“This is completely life changing for me. “Thank you. Thank you so much!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her million-dollar prize, the winner said her dreams were about to come true.

“I’m going to buy a beautiful home,” she declared.

“That’s been my dream for so long and now I’ll finally be able to make it happen.

“It’s going to be such an incredible Christmas!”

The million-dollar winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto ticket was purchased at Lanyon Newsagency, Shop 18, Lanyon Marketplace, 4 Sidney Nolan Drive, Conder.

Lanyon Newsagency owner Ken Patel said he was thrilled to know his customer had checked their ticket.

“We feel like our dream has come true. This is such great news for both our local community and also our customers,” he said.

“We have been waiting a long time to sell a division one winning entry so we are so happy to have now done that.

“Congratulations to her! We are absolutely over the moon.”
