A Karalee man can finally grant his wife’s requests to get the spare car parts out of the house with plans to build a new big shed with his million-dollar Gold Lotto win.

The Ipswich man in his 30s held one of the two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4088, drawn 21 June 2021. Each division one winning entry takes home a $1 million prize.

The winner was completely oblivious to his new millionaire status until he checked his ticket this afternoon while running some errands.

“Nah! No way, man! You’re kidding me, right?” he questioned when we confirmed his prize.

“Holy crap! Yeah! Wow! I’m lost for words.

“To be honest, I’m in shock. I’ll have to tell my wife when I get home. She’s going to be gobsmacked. She’s going to go nuts!

“I don’t normally play Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto. I missed Saturday’s big draw because I was tied up on the weekend and didn’t get to the newsagent in time, so I just bought this Monday Lotto ticket instead.”

With a million dollars about to land in his bank account, the stunned winner said he it would be a massive boost to him and his young family.

“You have no idea what this means. It’s really going to help my family,” he said.

“I’m also going to build a big shed. We’ve got so many car parts in the house, and my wife always says she wants them out of the house.

“We’ll also be able to do some home renovations.

“I just can’t believe this.”

The man’s winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased at Karalee News, Shop 13, Karalee Shopping Centre, 2-56 Junction Road, Karalee.

Karalee News owner Chris Calver said he was thrilled the winner had come forward and checked his ticket.

“We’ve sold plenty of division one winning entries over the years, and every time it gets even more exciting than the last,” he said.

“We’re so happy.

We’ve been celebrating in-store and sharing the news with all our customers.

“Congratulations to him! We hope he really enjoys his prize.”
