A young man in his early 20s from Pacific Pines awoke this morning to discover he is the region’s newest millionaire after winning division one in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw.

The man was the only division one winner across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3716 on Monday 27 November 2017.  He won the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

He is the 19th division one winner from the Gold Coast this calendar year and the third Gold Coast division one winner during the past week.

The young man was completely oblivious to his new millionaire status until a Golden Casket official made contact with him.

Upon discovering his division one win, he admitted he was floored by the revelation he was one of Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto’s youngest millionaires.

“Oh that’s amazing!  I can’t believe it!” he exclaimed.

“I only just starting playing Gold Lotto a few weeks ago!

“I was just thinking I’d give it a go.  I never thought I’d win anything big!”

While he is yet to decide how he would use his million-dollar windfall, the happy winner declared he planned on having a great family Christmas and replacing his “unreliable” car.

“It’s come at just the right time for Christmas.  It’s a great surprise.  I’m going to have a great Christmas with my family and have a think about what I’ll do in the New Year,” he said.

“My car at the moment is not the most reliable car so I’ll also probably buy a new one.”

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3716 on Monday 27 November 2017 were 16, 13, 9, 39, 41 and 38. The supplementary numbers were 43 and 10.

Across Australia there was only one division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3716.

Last financial year, there were 82 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $80 million.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 381 so far this calendar year, including 99 won by Golden Casket customers.
