A hardworking Carnegie man and his wife are ready to retire early after discovering they are now $1 million richer after winning division one in the latest Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.

The ecstatic winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3812, drawn Monday 29 October 2018. The winning entry takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

Speaking with us this morning to confirm his win, the Carnegie man and his wife couldn’t contain their excitement over the news they were now millionaires.

“Oh my god, oh my lord,” the wife screamed the joy.

“Please tell me this isn’t a joke?

“This is life changing for us!

“Thank you so much! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

“God my wife is falling apart! She is even more excited than I am and I’m pretty excited,” the happy man added.

“I have been playing for five years with the same numbers the whole time!

“Those numbers are just random numbers, apart from my birthday. But clearly they are special numbers.”

When asked how he planned to spend his win, the Carnegie man admitted it would help the couple retire early.

“We both still work, so this will help us retire early,” he shared.

“We have lots of kids and grandkids, so we will share some with them too!

“Then we will go on a holiday to the Greek Islands!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 18-game marked entry from Carnegie Chemmart Pharmacy, 85 Koornang Road, Carnegie.

Carnegie Chemmart Pharmacy manager Pretty Singh said the outlet was ecstatic to have sold a winning entry.

“We are all so excited to have sold that winning ticket and can’t wait to sell more,” she said.

“We will definitely be celebrating this win for both our store and our customer.

“It is great news we have made one of our customers a millionaire!”
