Son of the year? Young Williamstown man to share Lotto million-dollar win with parents
A Williamstown man in his early 20s could hardly believe his luck when we called him to share the dream-come-true news that he was $1 million richer.
The startled Victorian winner held one of the three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3807 on Wednesday 10 October 2018. Each entry takes home a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million. The man purchased his winning 12-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The young man was oblivious to his good fortune until we made contact with him to confirm his windfall.
“Wow! I just logged into the Lott app and saw I’d won,” he revealed
“I’m only in my 20s so this is huge! I can’t believe it!
“I’ve only just started playing Lotto. I was bored one day and thought I’d give it a go. This is only the fourth ticket I’ve ever got.”
The excited Melbourne millionaire told us that he could wait to share with those at the top of his Lotto List – his Mum and Dad!
“I’m going to help my parents pay off their mortgage. They’ve done a lot for me over the years – they’ve sacrificed a lot.
“And in terms of the rest, it’ll be wherever the road takes me!”
We think he may be in the running for the title of ‘Son of the Year’.
