More than a decade after a series of numbers appeared in a Redlands woman’s dream, they’ve been drawn in Monday’s Gold Lotto draw, delivering her a life-changing division one prize.

The south-east Queenslander held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3988, drawn Monday 6 July 2020 and takes home a division one prize of $1 million.

Confirming her million-dollar win with us this afternoon, the overwhelmed winner explained why she started marking her lottery entries.

“Is it true or am I just dreaming?” she questioned.

“Oh god, thank you.

“I can’t believe it. Thank you!

“I knew they were my numbers because I’ve been marking them on my entries for so long, probably for more than a decade!

“The numbers came to me in a dream about 15 years ago, I literally saw them appear one by one, and I’ve been playing them in that exact order ever since.

“The numbers have always been good to me, I’ve always won little amounts over the years but now this. It’s amazing!

“I still can’t believe it.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy life as a millionaire, the Redlands resident said she’d immediately be changing her retirement plans.

“I’ve always wanted to be in a position where I can help my family, and now I am,” she said.

“I’ll certainly be using this to retire a little earlier than I thought I could.

“And I will be able to really enjoy my retirement without having to worry about the finances.

“I’ll be going on plenty of holidays, that’s for sure.”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Birkdale Newsagency, Shop 4, Birkdale Fair Shopping Centre, 196 Birkdale Road, Birkdale.

Birkdale Newsagency owner Adrian Johal said it was the fifth division one winning entry his outlet had sold.

“It’s unbelievable to sell another winning entry,” he said.

“Congratulations to her! It’s fantastic news for both our latest winner and our local community.

“We wish her all the very best with her prize.”
