A Woy Woy retiree couldn’t stop screaming ‘I’m a millionaire!’ after this morning discovering he won division one in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

The New South Wales winner held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3857, drawn Wednesday 3 April 2019, taking home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

When we made contact with him this morning, the winner confessed the phone call was ‘the most wonderful phone call’ he’d ever received.

“You’re kidding me! No,” he laughed.

“I’m in bed now. I sleep terribly and was wanting to go back to sleep but now I am wide awake!

“This is a huge shock! I never thought I would win.

“I have been playing these numbers forever. They’re special numbers to me. They’re birthdays. I can’t believe they’ve delivered me this win.

“I want to scream so loud right now, but I should wait until I get off the phone. I don’t want to burst your eardrums.

“I can’t believe it! I am a millionaire! I am never going to get sick of saying that.

“This is still sinking in. It’s come at the perfect time.

“Thank you for the most wonderful phone call I’ve ever received in my life.”

After giving the retiree time to let the news sink in, he admitted he was excited to start planning a long dreamt of holiday.

“This is going to make a huge difference to my life,” he confessed.

“I’m not entirely sure what I will do with it, but I will certainly go on a holiday.

“I will go somewhere I have always wanted to go but have never been able to - the Maldives, Seychelles and Tahiti.

“They’re meant to be beautiful. It’s the nature! I will enjoy the peace and quiet somewhere magical.”

The winning six-game marked entry was purchased at Deepwater Plaza Newsagency, Shops 14-15 Deepwater Plaza, Railway Street, Woy Woy.

Deepwater Plaza Newsagency owners Gordon and Kylie Swinford said they were ecstatic they’d sold another division one winning entry.

“It’s great news!It keeps a smile on our faces when we sell big division one prizes like this,” Gordon said.

“We’re really excited.Hopefully it’s gone to a local. These wins create a real buzz in the community.

“We’ve sold a few division one winning entries over the years, including a $6 million Powerball – but it’s been a while so it’s good to see another win!”
