Docklands worker returns home to $2.5 million!
A $2.5 million home-coming surprise awaited a Docklands worker who had no idea that she won division one in Oz Lotto three weeks ago while on an overseas holiday!
The elated winner registered her 5-game marked entry to her Tatts Card for Oz Lotto draw 1193 drawn on Tuesday 27 December 2016 before jetting off on holiday, which explains why Tatts couldn’t reach her sooner.
The woman was shocked when Tatts confirmed today that she unknowingly become a multi-millionaire while holidaying.
“What?! Oh my god! Oh my god! I am… What can I say? I am shocked!” she exclaimed.
“This is the best news I’ve had in all of my life!
“I have to ring my husband, he is going to die! Not in a bad way, he’ll just be so shocked!”
The happy woman admitted she had a strange inkling that she would win Oz Lotto.
“You know what, I’ve had this feeling for the past year that I was going to win something in Oz Lotto! There was just something about Oz Lotto where I thought I might win,” she explained.
“I can’t believe it, but I did have this serious inclination about it!
“I told my mum about this feeling, so when I tell her she is going to faint!
“My mum always said keep playing your numbers because you never know when your lucky day might come up!”
She said she was happy to discover the news after a three-week delay of being in the dark about her good fortune.
“I’ve been away overseas on holiday but this is great news to come home to!” she exclaimed.
“I have no idea what I’ll do, I just need to let sink this in! I feel like this is a dream!”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 5-game marked entry from Victoria Harbour Pharmacy & News, 66 Merchant Street in Docklands.
Kim Nguyen is the Tatts manager at Victoria Harbour Pharmacy & News and was excited to have sold a division one winning Oz Lotto entry to a local customer.
“Our last division one win was many moons ago so it’s very exciting to have a recent multi-million dollar winning customer!” Ms Nguyen exclaimed.
“We hope this windfall will make the customers new year even brighter!”
Tatts reminds players of the importance of registering their tickets to a Tatts Card and keeping their details up-to-date they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.
