Melbourne grandfather holds the $7.5 million Oz Lotto ticket!
The mystery of who won $7.5 million in last night’s Oz Lotto draw has been solved within 24 hours with a mysterious Melbourne grandfather coming up with the goods!
The happy grandfather, who wishes to remain anonymous, registered his 18-game marked ticket to a Tatts Card and made the discovery this afternoon that it was worth more than $7.5 million.
He is one of two division one winners nationally in last night’s $15 million Oz Lotto draw who can now call themselves a brand new multi-millionaire.
The Victorian division one winning entry was purchased at Keilor News, LPO & Lotto, 700 Calder Highway in Keilor.
Jordan Duzelovski is the owner of Keilor News, LPO & Lotto and was thrilled to know the Oz Lotto prize had been claimed.
“That’s wonderful news! Good on him!” Mr Duzelovski exclaimed.
“We’re all very happy for the winner, very much so, and we’re also grateful that we could be the outlet that sold him the life-changing winning ticket.
“The majority of our customers are regulars and we get to know them really well. So although we may never know who our winning grandfather is, he’s probably waited all his life for his numbers to come up!
“I can only imagine when you’ve already covered off on a lot of the milestones in life, and then suddenly you win the lotto and can help your family – it would just top it all off!”
Keilor News, LPO & Lotto has made a couple of millionaires in recent years, including a Monday & Wednesday Lotto customer who won a cool $1 million in June 2014.
Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division share of Oz Lotto’s $15 million jackpot in draw 1182 on Tuesday 11 October, each worth $7,500,000.00.
Along with the winning entry from Keilor, Victoria, the other winning ticket was sold in New South Wales via thelott.com.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1182 on Tuesday 11 October 2016 were 25, 3, 8, 38, 18, 21 and 27 with supplementary numbers 23 and 35.
