Carindale woman welcomes Oz Lotto win with lengthy scream

A Carindale woman has screamed with delight for several minutes tonight after the revelation she had become a multi-millionaire with her 6-game QuickPick entry in tonight’s draw.

When a Golden Casket official made the life-changing phone call to the registered player immediately after the draw, the woman couldn’t contain her joy.

“Oh my god! You’ve stopped my heart! I need my heart fixed!” the woman screamed.

“Oh my god! I just won $16 million! Holy sh*t!”

A regular player, the woman said she had to let the news sink in before deciding how she would spend the windfall.

“I can’t wait to call my husband and tell him!” the thrilled winner said.

“We will be sharing the winnings with our family though – that’s for sure!”

The winning entry was sold at Nextra Carindale News, Shop 2004A, Westfield Carindale, 1151 Creek Road, Carindale.

It is the fifth division one winning entry the outlet has sold during the past eight years.

Manly man initially hangs up on winning Oz Lotto call

A Manly man initially hung up on a NSW Lotteries official earlier tonight when they were trying to tell him that he was one of the three Oz Lotto division one winners.

However, the registered player eventually stayed on the line long enough to have his win confirmed, prompting him to erupt into celebration.

“Are you serious!?! You are kidding me! I can’t believe it,” he said, bursting out laughing.

“Oh man! You have made my whole life! How amazing is this?”

The man explained he marked his winning System 9 entry using family birthdates.

He also admitted he had a feeling he might win.

“Earlier today I thought I’d love to win. I was just thinking in my head driving along, and low and behold I won! I can’t believe it!

“When you rang before I thought it was a bit strange. But then I went and grabbed my ticket, then I checked my ticket and saw the numbers!"

While it was too early to tell if an early retirement was on the cards, the delighted man plans to “invest the money and have a happy life”.

“I can’t believe it! I’m in shock,” he laughed.

“It’s sort of sunk in, but it hasn’t. I don’t know what to think. I don’t know what to say. I’m lost for words!

“This is amazing. You can honestly say 100% you don’t get much better news than this. Without a doubt!”

The man’s winning entry was sold at Ink & Press Cafe, 145 Sydney Road, Fairlight.
