A hardworking mum from the Orroroo region has cried tears of joy this morning after the shock revelation that she held one of the two division one winning entries worth $20 million each in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.

Across Australia, there were only two division one winners in Oz Lotto draw 1239 on Tuesday 14 November – both from South Australia.

Each division one Oz Lotto winner takes home a division one prize of $20 million!

This is the highest division one prize won in South Australia since 2014 when two people won $15 million in Oz Lotto in two separate draws. The biggest single winning entry in South Australia was in 2012, when a Powerball winner took home $50 million.

The two winners from last night’s draw boost the total number of South Australia’s division one winners so far this calendar year to 26.

Speaking to an SA Lotteries official to confirm her win this morning, one of the winners, a woman from the Orroroo region, was stunned and emotional at the revelation she was now a multi-millionaire.

“Oh my God!” the ecstatic woman cried.

“This is absolutely life changing for so many people in our lives.  This is insane!

“My brain is not going to rest today.  This is crazy.

“I’d heard there was a winning ticket in the region but didn’t think it was me.

“But I thought I’d just scan my ticket with the Lott app and I’m like ‘oh my God, I think I’m the winner!’.

“Fair dinkum.  I can’t believe this.

“You have no idea!  It has come at the most appropriate time!  It’s huge!

“I’m from a long line of hard workers.  Every time I stop and think about it, I think ‘how many people can I help with this?’.

“You have just made my family so happy for the rest of our lives! It’s amazing!”

The thrilled winner confessed she’d only just begun playing Oz Lotto, inspired by a family tradition.

“I have never won anything before.  I’ve just started,” she laughed.

“I decided to do the same as my mum – she’s been playing the same numbers each week.  Every time she wins she puts it in a container and lets it add up.

“So I thought ‘bugger it, let’s do it’.  We sat down one night and worked out the numbers that had something to do with the family.”

The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning registered 4-marked entry at IGA Orroroo, 18 Second St, Orroroo.

IGA Orroroo owner Ahmad Ramadan said he was beyond excited to have sold such a huge division one winning entry.

“We’ve only been open since the beginning of this year and until now the biggest amount on a ticket we have sold is $2,000 – now we can add an extra four zero’s to that number!” he exclaimed with glee.

“I just can’t believe it, I’ve never had so many people calling me or texting me, it is just great news for our small country town.

“We are so happy that it was won by a local Orroroo and a regular customer.

“Congratulations to our winner, we hope they enjoy this life changing win!”

Another division one winning ticket lands in South Australia

The second division one winning entry in last night’s Oz Lotto draw was not registered to an Easiplay Club card, so SA Lotteries officials have no way of contacting the winner with the dream-come-true news they’ve won $20 million.

This winning entry was sold at Collinswood Pharmacy, 37 North East Road, Collinswood.

SA Lotteries spokesperson Bronnie Spencer said she was eager to confirm the division one news with Adelaide’s newest multi-millionaire and urged all Oz Lotto players to check their entries.

“Our winner could be a local or someone who was just passing through. Either way, I’m sure they’d love to discover they’re now $20 million richer!” she exclaimed.

“You may not think it’s possible that you could be the division one winner we’re searching for, but if you purchased an unregistered entry in last night’s Oz Lotto draw that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance!”

“If you think you might be holding the Oz Lotto division one winning entry, contact SA Lotteries immediately on 131 868.”

Ms Spencer also reminded players of the importance of registering their tickets to an Easiplay Club card.

“It is really important that you register your entries so that all of your prizes are secure and we can contact you directly with the good news in the case of a win!” she said.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1239 on Tuesday 14 November 2017 were 15, 3, 16, 5, 25, 30 and 1.  The supplementary numbers 40 and 12.

Across Australia there were two division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1239 – both from South Australia.

Last financial year, 18 Oz Lotto winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions won more than $182 million.
