ACT woman wins $50 million Powerball prize!
An ACT woman who describes herself as a hard worker has become a multi-millionaire overnight after scooping the entire $50 million Powerball jackpot in last night’s draw!
The registered winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was unaware she was $50 million richer until a NSW Lotteries official was able to contact her this morning and break the life changing news.
“Oh my god! My heart is beating so fast! I can’t believe it!” the overwhelmed winner exclaimed.
“The only thing I can say at the moment is I’ll be able to buy myself a house! It will be my first home!
“I’ll also donate money to charity. I moved to Australia more than ten years ago so I want to give back.”
The division one winning 6-game QuickPick entry was sold at Gungahlin Centre News, Shop 12, 33 Hibberson Street in Gungahlin, ACT.
It’s the second time the outlet has sold a division one winning entry in less than six months. Last December, the same newsagency sold a division one winning entry in Monday Lotto draw 3406 worth $1 million.
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 993 on 28 May 2015 were 39, 26, 31, 25, 37 and 29. The Powerball number was 2.
