$12.5 million Powerball mystery in Tatura!
There’s been no sign of Victoria’s newest Powerball multi-millionaire whose entry scored one of two $12.5 million division one prizes won nationally in last night’s $25 million draw.
As the winning Powerball entry was not registered to a Tatts Card, the only information Tatts has to go by is that it was purchased from the Victorian town of Tatura from newsXpress Tatura, 138 Hogan Street in Tatura.
Tatts spokesperson Claire Taylor said Tatts was eager to speak with the division one winning Powerball ticket holder so that they could kick off their weekend in multi-million dollar style.
“Someone has purchased an unregistered ticket in last night’s Powerball draw from the town of Tatura that is now worth more than $12.5 million!” Ms Taylor exclaimed.
“That extremely valuable ticket could be anywhere - floating around in someone’s handbag, stuffed in the glove box of the car, pinned to the fridge or even sitting in someone’s pocket!
“That’s why we’re urging everyone in the Tatura district who was in with a chance to win last night’s Powerball draw to check their ticket without delay.
“In last night’s draw, the all-important Powerball number was 15, and the other winning numbers that will be on the ticket were 8, 2, 13, 36, 31 and 6.
“If you discover you’re holding the division one winning ticket that’s worth multi-millions – please keep it in a safe place and phone Tatts immediately on 131 868 to start the process of claiming your prize!”
John and Jenny Lovel are the owners of newsXpress Tatura and are delighted to have sold a hat-trick of division one wins within the past 14 months.
“We’re having an excellent run of luck at the moment!” Mr Lovel exclaimed.
“This is the third division one winning ticket we’ve sold in the past 14 months – and while two became millionaires, this is our first multi-million dollar winning ticket!
“It’s really nice news for a small town like Tatura – it creates a real buzz and feeling of anticipation around town!”
Tatts reminds players of the importance of registering their tickets to a Tatts Card so all of their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.
